Things about travelling that never bothered me initially...but bug the hell out of me now. I was planning on doing 1 a day, but i'll kick things off with 2. lucky you!!!
#10 - Hotel Room Hangers
So they're connected to the rod. I mean, you can remove them, but the hook stays in the closet. so you're left with a hanger with a nub instead of a hook. How in the world are you supposed to steam clothes in the shower if you can't hang them anywhere. this bugs me. a lot. it means i have to wake up earlier and actually iron.
#9 - Hotel Room Televisions
When you turn on the TV in a hotel room, it's usually defualted to the in-house channel (where you can buy movies, etc). However, it's also usually defaulted to volume 8 million. TOP VOLUME. it's very annoying. i dislike this a lot.
Sidenote: One of my loyal readers Benet has noted that we are living parallel lives. And i think that's really exciting. Where in SA do your parents live? Where are your favorite restaurants in SA? Most of my other readers are either from there or have been there to visit, so this is so exciting. I have read that they're planning an expansion to the SAT airport, but haven't heard much detail about it. Have you?
also - IV sent me this link. www.rap-cat.com i've already discussed my love for cat-related humor. please enjoy. and turn up the volume.

The hanger thing really ticks me off. And I HATE ironing with a burning passion. It's why I always travel with my handy folding hanger. It came with a garment bag that is long gone.
My parents live north at the Estates at Champion's Run, next to the golf course. I am a huge fan of Boudros, right on the RiverWalk. I also can't leave SAT without going to Swigs for a martini. They are building one near the parents' house, but I'll still go to the RiverWalk. I had a wonderful meal at Le Reve. And I'll admit it -- I am a fool for Taco Cabana.
They have aleady started the expansion at SAT. They are building a new terminal between the newer one and the older, rattier one. The Ratty one will be torn down, and they will eventually build one to replace the "newer" one. They are also adding more parking and changing the roads to have 2 levels for pickup and dropoff.
Your readers are going to think that I'm a geek that has no life outside airports. I swear, someone actually pays me pretty good money to write about the world's airports. I promise -- I do have a full and active life!! LOL
