Hi!!! I'm back - last week wasn't nearly as free as i was hoping it would be, so i'm sorry about the lack of updates :)
#8 - The Sweet Sleeper Bed (from Sheraton).
I'm sure you've all seen the commercials and know that Sheraton (well, the whole Starwood brand) has their own trademarked kind of beds. The Westin has the 'Heavenly'. The Sheraton has 'the Sweet Sleeper'. Anyway, I lived in the Sheraton for 1 year in Phoenix, and have been living in the Sheraton in Wilmington for a few months also now. Let me tell you...i think the Sweet Sleeper is a major crock.
First of all, i dont like the pillows very much. They're super thick, which means your neck ends up hurting all night (becuase it's at a 90 degree angle to the rest of your body). I know you can request different types of pillows....but that never seems to work. Anyway - i usually just end up sleeping with no pillows, so that's not great.
Second, (and this is what really kills me) they use 2 flat sheets to make the bed (instead of 1 fitted and 1 flat). Now, if you move around a lot or if you roll over in your sleep, the sheets get all messed up and you end up sleeping on the bare mattress, which grosses me out. is it so much to ask that they use a fitted sheet? i think not, but maybe that's why i dont work in housekeeping.
So i'm currently in SF. flying to Philly in a few hours. Since i waited too late to buy my ticket...i am on USAir today (instead of my usual United). I'm hoping this means that I'll have a nice surprise for the movie...very exciting!!
